OUR FEE PHILOSOPHY

Why we charge a flat fee — and what your $500 enrollment actually gets you

Most nanny agencies charge a percentage of your nanny's salary. We don't. Here's why that matters to you, and what you can expect from us from the moment you enroll.

The problem with percentage-based fees

The traditional nanny agency model charges a percentage of your nanny's annual salary — typically between 12% and 18%. On the surface, that sounds straightforward. But there's a hidden tension built into that structure: the more you pay your nanny, the more the agency earns.

That means if you want to offer a higher hourly rate to attract a more experienced candidate — which is almost always the right call for your family — your agency fee goes up too. You're being penalized for doing the right thing.

"A family should be able to offer a strong, competitive position without their agency fee increasing simply because they chose to pay their nanny well. The placement fee should reflect the agency's work — not the nanny's salary."

What does your $500 enrollment fee actually cover?

Before we begin your search, we ask for a one-time, non-refundable enrollment fee of $500. This isn't a deposit — it's the cost of the work we do before a single candidate ever meets your family.

Here's exactly what gets set in motion the moment you enroll:

In-depth intake consultation

We take the time to understand your family, your household, your children, and exactly what you need in a nanny — before we start looking.

Active candidate search

We tap our network and begin identifying candidates who are a genuine match — not just anyone available.

Background & DMV screening

Every candidate is screened before being presented to your family — criminal background, sex offender registry, and driving record.

Reference verification

We personally verify a minimum of three professional references for every candidate — so you know who you're meeting.

Identity verification

Candidates are verified for identity before being introduced to any family.

Dedicated placement support

You'll work directly with our placement team throughout the process — not a call center, not a form, a real person who knows your family.

The enrollment fee ensures that every family who works with us is serious about the process — and that every candidate we screen is being considered for a real, committed placement. It protects your time and theirs.

"We don't start searching until we know your family. And we don't introduce candidates until we've done the work to make sure they're worth your time. The $500 enrollment fee is what makes that possible."
